Pirates All-Time 9

Currently on the Pittsburgh Pirates official site, you can vote for your dream team based on single-season hitting performances by position, yes even pitchers. Below I have listed the team that I felt would win the most games based on individual performance. On a few of the positions, I went back and forth deciding who I would choose. Shortstop was tough, along with the outfield position. It looks as if most of our team production over the years has been in the outfield, with the likes of; Stargell, Clemente, Bonds, Bonilla, Bay, Parker, and on and on. I am not saying that the players I chose definitely deserve to be the pick, but I am saying they are my choices. Enjoy and comment if you have any different opinions.

My All-Time 9 Dream Team:
1st Base - Gus Suhr 1936
2nd Base - George Grantham 1930
SS - Honus Wagner 1908 (I went back and forth between Honus and Arky Vaughn's 1935 season)
3rd Base - Aramis Ramirez 2001
Catcher - Jason Kendall 1998
Outfield - Ralph Kiner 1949
Outfield - Dave Parker 1978
Outfield - Brian Giles 2000
Notable Mentions for Outfield - Jason Bay 2005, Barry Bonds 1992, Roberto Clemente 1966, and Willie Stargell 1971
Pitcher - Erv Brame 1930

The All-Time 9 is available for every team in MLB, and it is interesting to see some of the names on these lists. I voted for many of the teams and will continue the rest when I have some more spare time. Enjoy the sunshine, and get that mitt ready, for baseball will soon be here!
